Wartorn Songtext
von The Absence

I have been chased in the moonlit glow of sleepless nights
Caught in the hollows of small towns
And cities drenched in moving light
Held only by the blink and the flash of a maddening riding scowl
Brought forth the release of these rabid hellhounds

Fortified with our strength
We carry on until our backs may break
Banners fly, shield walls crack
This war-torn campaign, never to look back
Conquering lands unseen
We stake our claim sea to sea

In this war-torn campaign, a crossing of common lines
With only strength to share, there′s only minutes to bear
It's all gone in the blink of an eye

Fortified with our strength
We carry on until our backs may break
Banners fly, shield walls crack
This war-torn campaign, never to look back
Conquering lands unseen
We stake our claim sea to sea

What moves us is a need to feel
The weight of a thousand faces
With piercing eyes that push us on
We destroy these cities, we decimate these towns
Each and every single one burned to the ground

Banners fly, shield walls crack
This war-torn campaign, never to look back
Conquering lands unseen
We stake our claim sea to sea
