Anne Hedonia Songtext
von The 99ers

You can see her at a show or in the park
You can see her in the day or after dark
Never see a smile of joy upon her face
Unabashed enthusiasm′s out of place
Every new amusement she covers in scorn
Pessimistic outlook is utterly forlorn

Everything that happens to her is a bore
Everything that matters puts her out of sorts
Nobody can brighten her gloomy will
Spirits always sag when she walks in the room
You will never witness a spark of pleasure there
Nothing warm or bright, always cloudy when it's there

Anhedonia
The gloomiest girl I′ve ever known
Anhedonia
Depressive disorder that's for one
Anhedonia
It's always midwinter in July
Anhedonia
Won′t you smile?

Nothing ever seems to break her misery
How she makes it through the days a mystery
People see her coming, they just look away
Catch a glimpse of her, it fills you with dismay
Even surf and hot cars can really bring her down
Sunny days of summer are painted with a frown

Anhedonia
The gloomiest girl I′ve ever known
Anhedonia
Depressive disorder that's for one
Anhedonia
It′s always midwinter in July
Anhedonia
Won't you smile?
