My Favorite Memory Songtext
von Thad Cockrell

I′m collecting, recollecting all the pictures
All the still frames I've stored in my mind
Like the one where you kiss me on the mouth dear
Like a still frame, still happens all the time

People are lying, I′m denying all the rumors
I heard them say you no longer love me
But I beg their pardon for their lack of perspective
'Cause they'd change their minds if they knew what I see

You′re my favorite memory
The one I most like to see
I take you out every night
We talk ′til the morning light
And loneliness is a friend
Stops by every now and then
But mostly it's just you and me
My favorite memory

People just wonder but I′ve come to know
All of the reasons I love you so
There's something better, that′s what they say
But I don't want better, I′ve no complaints

'Cause you're my favorite memory
The one I most like to see
I take you out every night
We talk ′til the morning light
And loneliness is a friend
Stops by every now and then
But mostly it′s just you and me
My favorite memory
