River Songtext
von Terry Reid
River Songtext
Is it my maker?
Am I the breaker?
Has it come too soon?
Am I to follow when life seems hollow
By some impending gloom?
It makes me ache right now
That the lover of life gets lost somehow
As his colors fade in the rain
He goes down to the river again
To find to be an opening to the sea
Stop to get feedback
All who want to see the river
Some having trouble
With life at the double
Part of being you
Some say it′s hazy
Others feel lazy
Some don't know what to do
It never breaks somehow
That the pattern of life
Is a lovely and bawdy
Man has vowed to ordain
Every soul that comes in
From the rain who wants to see
And find someone to open up and tell him
What his dreams to want and see
Or before that want
Who can see through the flaws
Of the flood of the river
Makes your life and rolls on with us
Never starting there
Never be returning to
Find what else that heart is yearning for
Why′d you want to dream
Seems that your life can see
Though it does graft no more
I can see the floor
Many don't even see that part of what can be
Oh see it a river
Am I the breaker?
Has it come too soon?
Am I to follow when life seems hollow
By some impending gloom?
It makes me ache right now
That the lover of life gets lost somehow
As his colors fade in the rain
He goes down to the river again
To find to be an opening to the sea
Stop to get feedback
All who want to see the river
Some having trouble
With life at the double
Part of being you
Some say it′s hazy
Others feel lazy
Some don't know what to do
It never breaks somehow
That the pattern of life
Is a lovely and bawdy
Man has vowed to ordain
Every soul that comes in
From the rain who wants to see
And find someone to open up and tell him
What his dreams to want and see
Or before that want
Who can see through the flaws
Of the flood of the river
Makes your life and rolls on with us
Never starting there
Never be returning to
Find what else that heart is yearning for
Why′d you want to dream
Seems that your life can see
Though it does graft no more
I can see the floor
Many don't even see that part of what can be
Oh see it a river
