What is it anyways?
Right to repair is when people want to be able to fix
Or tinker with the products they have paid for, therefore own
Many companies argue that right to repair may lead to injuries
Or less secure devices
That′s convenient when it means you have to
Come back to them for repairs

I want to fix it
They don't want me to
They say it′s
For security and safety
But it also drives their
Profits sky high
When we're left asking "Can We Fix It"
That's why


Right now, some farmers will need to call
A special technician and wait weeks to months
If their tractor breaks down in their fields
Those fields need to be harvested because
It′s the farmer′s primary source of income
What will grocery store shelves look like if
Farmers can't perform maintenance on
The machinery they own?

That's why

If you drop your phone and break the glass on the back
Would you know how to fix it?
You don′t have to
But depending on the manufacturer of your phone
It may be impossible
A generation of MacBooks was released with a chip
That meant parts could only be replaced by
Approved businesses and with genuine parts
Otherwise, it wouldn't even turn on
What do you do if you don't live near one of those businesses
And the parts have been discontinued?
