Son of the Morn came
Slowly the curtains rose
A sun in his eyes
Another light was born to know
With visions of sorrow
And winds of despair
The beast, the thief
The sun he said would never go away
With eyes of morrow
And sorrows of guidance
Each face of light
Each way a never ending night

So he defied
The Light he weighed
Betrayed himself
From the restless sky

Is the blade of fate
The desire of our desperate hope
The serpent of greed
Virtue to taste his greed
Fire lost
Has heaven gone astray?
The dragon flies
So high but oh so far away

A cry of hope
Blind eyes
But he feels
The rhythm dies
