Once in everyone′s life, a person likes to dream,
A lingering dream, of his very youth
When things were so exciting and real
With a bat of an eye, I was speaking to the Queen
All beautifully dressed, in splendor divine
Or be walking with, a dog by my side

The toy soldiers were, preparing for war
The white army much, stronger than the black


In a moment the battle would begin
And I was the leader of the winning side
Showing no mercy, my hand swept across the ranks
Knocking every wooden, soldier down again

But now I have to, return to my age
And realize, I can't forever be a child
But if a chance came along, I would not turn it down
For all the gold or any other earthly things

For the moment flashbacks, are all that I possess
To remind me of, the simple things and joys of life
