Total depravity is completely stabbing me

I'm a one man army in the US Army.
Feeling like the lone light sure gets daunting
I wanna stay strong and I wanna stay up.
But all they wanna do is fill another cup
I′m helping people out who don't wanna be helped.
They′re shunning me away like I'm some sort of stray
If only you guys knew the things that I prayed.
I wanna see you all in eternity's day
But y′all make it hard to jump into the fray.
I′m walking on a line that's turning all to gray
A compromise in my mind forget a real prize.
My heart breaks more when I hear a soldier dies
Thinking what could′ve become of their lives.
In a moment of weakness they chose suicide
The reality of seeing a memorial portrait.
Another great life that's lost in the forfeit

I struggle with forgiveness and I struggle with my pride
. I struggle with my lust that burns deep inside
But I′m thankful to you that you're there all the time.
That your word speaks the truth that I need in my mind
