i saw someone′s clothes in the pond
reminded me of somebody i cared about a lot
and though it felt nothing but odd
went straight to my mother with a heavy heart

i knew something wouldn't be right
i asked for my brother she told me to stop crying
a moment, then soon she, too, cried
my brother would never be fine again


with lungs full of water
unable to breathe
for more than just minutes
a brain too deceased

it may not have been this bad
if i had been there

mmmh mmh mhm

then i heard someone say
let them die in this case
they will never be fine again

but you′d only pray for that
if you weren't there
