Knightly Songtext
von Splenius

In the quiet of the night
When the world is fast asleep
He carries all the burdens
In his heart they cut so deep
A smile upon his poker face
He hides the rumbling storm inside
A warrior in the darkest shadows
Where his true self cannot really confide

The silent tears, the broken dreams
He′s just trying to be free
A man with all the strength to show
The mental load, the heavy heart
In a world that doesn't see
How much he′s breaking down inside

From the pressures of the day
To the worries of the night
He's the rock for everyone
But who's going to hold him tight?
He′s more than just the stoic face you see
More than just the pride, more than just a dick
A human with many emotions
That he learned so well to hide and to bury

The silent tears, the broken dreams
He′s just trying to be free
A man with all the strength to show
The mental load, the heavy heart
In a world that doesn't see
How much he′s breaking down inside

He's breaking down inside
He′s breaking down inside
