Falling Apart Songtext

Someone said to hold your breath
To save a spot for what comes next
It′s hard enough to be alone
And I'm addicted to my phone
You stole the safety of my home
Wracked the mud beneath my nose
It′s hard enough to pigeon row
When no one knows I'm out on the boat

She said, "Darling, what did I say?"
You're falling apart like you′ve never been loved before
It′s a common flaw
And I don't wanna hang up if this is the last goodbye
′Cause you're not sleeping and I′m not tired
How did so much change in one night?

I've got a story you would like
It′s one where I'm forced to sleep outside in the freezing cold
I was twelve years old or something like that
And on the next morning, I was pretty tired
All the neighbours who saw me all went inside
What could they have done?
Well, their favourite son, it was my fight

She said, "Darling, what did I say?"
You're falling apart like you′ve never been loved before
It′s a common flaw
And I don't wanna hang up if this is the last goodbye
′Cause you're not sleeping and I′m not tired
How did so much change in one night?

I keep on calling and calling and calling and calling
But nobody answers
And I'm falling, I′m falling, I'm falling, I'm falling
But nobody catches

She said, "Darling, what did I say?"
You′re falling apart like you′ve never been loved before
It's a common flaw
And I don′t wanna hang up if this is the last goodbye
'Cause you′re not sleeping and I'm not tired
How did so much change in one night?
