Strive For Meaning Songtext
von Solipsism

How we all
Seek the goal
A downright reason
To justify our fall
You me we
Trying to exist
As if meant to be the opposite
So profane yet so deep
Being accountable for all we′re missing

All the goals
Oh how we fall

Your path's not wrecked
You′re sidetracked
When there's no means to an end
You waste away the hours to be meaningfully spent

'Cause why bother?

What goal?
All in all
It will all end in the end
And in the middle it′s just leisure

Those who strive for meaning distract themselves with pleasure

So you
Strive strive strive
For meaning
Strive strive strive
For meaning

′Cause end is end
But blood is life
So make it count for all the bleeding

Ever more
We have means to live
But no meaning to live for
So we fuck numb wreck ourselves
To free our hearts from sore
Why should we cry?
Alas we're here
So might as well enjoy the ride
But that won′t last
And the path of pleasure is not vast

If you have a why to live for
You can bear with almost any how
You don't always need to reap what you sow
When you′re given darkness
Know which way is the light
Then be the reason why it flickers
So it won't blind your sight

And you′ll
Strive strive strive
For meaning
Strive strive strive
For meaning
Strive strive strive
For meaning

'Cause end is end
But blood is life
So make it count for all the bleeding
