Amber Songtext

I′m on the verge of saying what I really mean
I know you think I'm critical but I just see
And I guess we see things differently

But I was raised to be polite and so,
I think that for tonight I′ll let it go
I don't want to make things uncomfortable

Amber colour me in like the wall
I used to think I was above it all
That the tattoo on my shoulder made me look like I was older

Amber colour me in like the fall
I used to think that I could solve it all
But then again I'd still might
Turn an itch into a snakebite

So I′ll quit my job and take a break
I just might find myself today
So I′ll take as much as I can take
I just might find myself today

Oh amber you look nice on my raincoat
Between my almost exclusively black wardrobe
These days I'd like to think that I have grown

I would have never called if I had known
That you were gonna leave me hanging on
Why can′t you just pick up your phone?

Amber colour me in like the wall
I used to think I was above it all
That the tattoo on my shoulder made me look like I was older

Amber colour me in like the fall
I used to think that I could solve it all
But then again I'd still might
Turn an itch into a snakebite

So I′ll quit my job and take a break
I just might find myself today
So I'll take as much as I can take
I just might find myself today
I just might find myself today
