I′ve been in my head
I've been loving laying in bed
So I can re live all of my experiences
I′ve been way too quiet
On things that make a difference
And i've been restless when the room is stagnant

But no one prepares you
For this

And who do i blame
For this feeling
I can't dictate
Any of it
And i′m not sure how to get over it
The air i breathe is always stiff

And i keep on asking

I can forgive
The ache i′ve scathed
Into the surface
If i were a promise
Then i would
Be dead
As for the reason
That i can't keep it
And i am anxious
For the wrong reasons
I battle my friendships
And miss my ex girlfriends
So i can′t forgive
The weight i'm dragging
Why would it be worth it
If i could just give in

For the fear that i
Will never return

But god this hurts
Who defines your courage
Am i to grow on my own terms
Or am i to let this burn
I always seem to make it worse
But there is sanction in my curse
