From a deep sleep, i hear clicking sounds
As if badimo is warning me...
Quickly i get up,
But something feels wrong about tonight
The air is thick and dense
With a foul scent of evil coming from the window
As i begin to open the curtains
My heartbeat pounding in fear

My eyes set gaze
On the most horrifying thing i have ever seen
All the cattle, they are dead
Guts spilled all over the kraal
And in the center, a dark figure taunting me
Clear my eyes, look again
But its gone!


I run outside
Go to the kraal
Nobody is here
Just butchered cattle
What could have caused this?
What was that thing standing here?
Only one way to know!
I must follow
Its blood stenched footsteps!

Deeper into the night, i wonder
Following its footsteps
Such mystery
I feel like i′m in a haze
Too tire to continue
I fall to the ground

Drifting out of consciousness
The wind whispers a lullaby
I begin to dream of my brother
A man of misfortune and illness
Troubled he was
How could i forget
We buried him beneath the
Kraal!
