Each time that I go walking
I don′t step on the cracks
When I look across this cold winter day
Rubbish blowin' round
Men sleeping on the ground
And I start to wonder
The planets start to shudder

Each time I go walking

Then we rock a little
Then we roll a little
But you don't ever want to stay


Well I walked across this town now
Still it looks kind of blue
I just read the daily rag twice through
Coffee shops and cafes
Try to offer something new
Now it's 4: 07 and that train is coming

Maybe talk a little

You might make a set of rules up
But it smells kind of cheap
So wise it′s stupid, so hard of heart
You never want to think
You need a brand new start
And I start to wonder
