Lost in the moment can′t even ask why
Stunned in horror trying not to cry
Face to face with the reality
So much hatred so little meaning

Why?

It's always innocents that have to die
Did they have the chance to say goodbye?
Did they know that just by existing
They were fodder for the uncaring?

And I know there′s nothing new beneath the sun
And I know peace possibly won't ever come
But I won't believe it′s all a waste of time though so it seems
And I cannot promise that the world will see

We lose ourselves to our cruel nature and drown under the sea
