A Hard Road Songtext
von Shakey Jake

This life is a hard road to travel
But I know I gotta keep on tryin′
This life is a hard road to travel
But I know I gotta keep on tryin'
Yes, my friends all call me crazy
But I don′t pay them no mind

They say love don't love nobody
I do believe the story's true
They say love don′t love nobody
I do believe the story′s true
Yes, I don't understand, pretty baby
Why you treat me the way you do

It made me feel so bad
When my poor old children cryin′ for bread
Oh, it made me feel so bad
When my poor old children cryin' for bread
Yes, some die by winter
You know a man just as well be dead
