Counting Halos Songtext
von Self Titled Album

I wanted so hard to believe
In the things that other people read
I lied to myself about a God I couldn′t see
Just to fill the void drugs had left in me.

I kept counting steps like they were halos
Crying over dead like fallen angel's
I kept counting steps like they were halos
Crying over dead like fallen angel′s

I'd grown tired of all the lies
The hypocrisy of communal lines
If you sing loud enough no one hears you beat your wife
Hallelujah I feel so fucking saved tonight

I kept counting steps like they were halos
Crying over dead like fallen angel's
I kept counting steps like they were halos
Crying over dead like fallen angel′s

Life has a way of changing things
Faith comes apart at the seams
God said it was ok to find vein
Relapse with the lord′s saving grace

I kept counting steps like they were halos
Crying over dead like fallen angel's
I kept counting steps like they were halos
Crying over dead like fallen angel′s
