The mind can be a lonely place
When you′re contemplating time and space
When science says they've got it right
We′re only light

But what of all who've come before?
Did they breach the gates of heaven's door?
Or was the endless darkness despite?

Then how will shine a brilliant glare
Out into the atmosphere?
Illuminating every heart on every star

Is it by chance that I found you?
Or did the universe decide that too?
If it was always written in the stars
Then they′d be right

Not tangible nor to be named
It′s a feeling that can cause such pain
Yet burn so bright


Love shall cast an amazing glow
Illuminating all who know
We are more than merely light
They can't be right

Our place in this universe
Will always be an unquenched thirst
For whom among us knows for sure
About the light?

Our time is short and that′s a fact
Once spent there's no going back
