Tilted Crown Songtext

Tilted Crown Songtext

The immaculate misconception
Of my grand gilded cage
Poses a few peculiar questions
That fill me with resilient rage
Like who am I to grieve?
And who are you to leave?
And what am I to do
With my kingdom that′s at siege?

Heavy is the head now that wears these gems around
And all I know about fair is once a year it blows through town
All the grace and the shame that came
With the name that I got handed down
Keep me walking around 'til the trumpets sound
Halo holding up my tilted crown
My tilted crown

Gather ′round as it starts again
There's a war inside and it's closing in
It′s a battle I can′t afford to forfeit
So who should I believe?
And have I been deceived?
And what am I to do
With my kingdom that's at siege?

Heavy is the head now that wears these gems around
And all I know about fair is once a year it blows through town
All the grace and the shame that came
With the name that I got handed down
Keep me walking around ′til the trumpets sound
Halo holding up my tilted crown
My tilted crown

Give my armor, give my friends
My ex-lovers that came to ends
Ghosts of my countrymen
Can y'all come to my defense?

Heavy is the head now that wears these gems around
And all I know about fair is once a year it blows through town
All the grace and the shame that came
With the name that I got handed down
Keep me walking around ′til the trumpets sound
Halo holding up my tilted crown
My tilted crown
