The Long Drive Home Songtext
von Salvage My Dream

The Long Drive Home Songtext

We′ve spent our whole lives reaching back in time
The more you try to grab that child, the more he hides
Caught a paper plane, threw it back again
Maybe I should've flown away
But it was already too late
We′re chasing the tide, but of lost of child size(?)
And I'm left here, breathing the sea air
And I've got my head in the sand,
But now I finally understand how you can′t catch a feather
With such a desperate hand
I′ll let out once inside

No longer a scream, just a sigh
And why in the world would I battle cry?
No one dares to try
Dreaming about living
While living dreams
The sun isn't what it seems. to me
(Crashing further away) (?)
(Watch you save the day (?))
((?) and yet we pay so much to go to work(?))
You realize through your passerbys
That you can′t whisper
