The Next Big Nothing Songtext
von Ryan Roxie

You′re the Next Big Nothing
You're the Star that wouldn′t shine

You're not Prince, you're sure ain′t The King
Just a man who′s out of time

The town reacts like a little child with a brand new toy
Picture of the microphone and the naked boy

Amazing what they found
You're the New Kid in Town

You should′ve planned ahead
Now there's voices in your head

And they′re whispering to you

You're the Next Big Nothing
You′re the Star that wouldn't shine

You're not Prince, you′re sure ain′t The King
Just a man who's out of time

You′re spitting on your so-called friends and your so-called fans
Glamour boy has faded to an ugly man

Did a tour in London
Now you're singing out to no one

You should have planned ahead
Now your career is dead
And it all went to your head

The new hair-do and the three piece suit
Really show your age

And I can′t recall just what I saw
With you onstage

They start to wonder now why
You're the bitter man in town

You should have planned ahead
I don′t believe a word you said
You never wrote it anyhow

You're the Next Big Nothing
You're the Star that wouldn′t shine

You′re not Prince, you're sure ain′t The King
Just a man who's out of time

You′re the Next Big Nothing
The Job of God was taken long ago
And I'll see you at the Mission
And laugh at your position

The Fool, is You
