Strange Wind Songtext

Strange Wind Songtext

Silence but with the sound of the wind in my ears
Looking ′round this dusty ghost town
Watching the weeds getting higher
These empty shells of former wells
Of love and tears
So many dreams in the fire
One next to another next to another
A few more across the road
Look so alone and deserted
Never thought I'd ever see my neighborhood looking so sad
Just dust and bones
So overgrown and disconcerting
The wind is blowing strange
But it always brings a change
God, I hope that it′s forgiving
And I just hope and pray
The children that used to play here
Found a better way of living

The wind is blowing strange
But it always brings a change
God, I hope that it's forgiving
And I just hope and pray
The children that used to play here
Found a better way of living
Prowling around and thinking about tomorrow
Well, I try to see
Happier days on that horizon
When the ones who left have moved beyond their sorrow
Now planting seeds
Growing a prize to keep their eyes on
The wind is blowing strange
But it always brings a change
God, I hope that it's forgiving
And I just hope and pray
The children that used to play here
Found a better way of living
