Stuck inside the basement
And I′m freezing half to death
And this dirty air I'm breathing
Is depriving me my breath
I know I′m going to make it
If I just could see some light
But now I just can't take it
'Cause outside it′s dark as night

It′s just a situation, known to ride
But did I have to close the door so tight?


Riding down the highway
And it's such a lovely scene
Soon it′s dark and dirty
'Cause I hear a cop siren
I know he′ll pull me over
And he'll make me pay a fine
But I′ll have to go to prison
'Cause I haven't got a dime

It′s just a situation for the time
Something to disturb my peaceful mind

I′m at an old friend's party
And I′m sitting all alone
But I wouldn't be so lonely
If I′d only go get stoned
Friends, they say I'm crazy
And they put me on the spot
By calling me a redneck
Just because I don′t smoke pot

It's just a situation that I'm in
It′s all because my friends don′t understand
