If You're Really There... Songtext

These smoldering embers in my mind′s eye radiating
Rippling outward to extremities unknown
If seeing is believing, I've seen but fear the worst
The illusion gathering, being, unrivaled and collective
Collecting thoughts spiraling, tumbling
Vapid intellectual grumbling, contrarily humbling
There is no such thing as an answer

Pondering the vibes, the infinite but exhaustive time
Confronting boredom despite busy days
Alternatively capacious, this room is spacious
But crowded with my projections
I elect to live or die to escape these institutions

A solution etched into my DNA
Yet hopeless wandering, soullessly groveling
At the feet of an egregious wizard
Staring to the fissure, the abyss
You cannot wish back the time, it is merely a distraction
Dissolving the days into fractions functioning, friction slipping
Fractals protracting, sauntering
Nature will always have the last laugh

Looking death in the eye as a lover
Minus enmity and delusion, neuroses and confusion
I have been there, in the head of another
Free-falling from the precipice but losing access
To worlds unknown
Giving in to the future but not giving up
Allowing the path to unfold like a dusty carpet
Cracked and crumbling constantly

The beyond beckons, willingly bellowing
Conjecture circling numbly until I can feel the tingles
Mingling with pins and needles, sensations ancestral
Vestral in their celestial forthcoming
It′s time for some prolonged silence
If you're really there, that is
If you're really there
