The sun collapsed beneath our sin
The sky bled black the void crept in

And begged for pain we could endure

No god remained to watch us fall
Our echoes haunt these empty halls
A crown of rust a throne of flame
The last of man no one to blame

We are the ashes of our own design
Still searching for meaning, a moment in time
Bitter words form like our own sour lies
We burned the world just to feel alive

I feel the earth beneath me choke
On every word we ever spoke
The cities rot the oceans cry
We fed on truth until it died


We prayed for light but found a blade
We begged for love but none was made
Our spirits fracture fade to grey
