Way up to the north coast of the island
Wind blows from heartland to sea of green
Carrying those heavy clouds of Winter
Grey as stone and move like Gunga Din
Let me see the waves out in the water
Noone knows just where they go
Come crashing down or come to nothing
Kids riding on their backs in a rodeo

The best things in life aint always free but

We don′t surf Okinawa
We don't surf North Carolina
It aint Oahu in Hawaii
We all go surfin up to Castlerock

Well the rain it pushed the beasts into the bucket
High water drove poor Charley down the line
Here it falls and still it calls to many
But Charley don′t surf here in the Wintertime
Cos it aint for the weak or for the weary
It aint for the meek or thin of skin
And there wont be no worship of the sun here
From the White Rocks west and back again
