Buses Songtext

Buses Songtext

Where a mind and sky is clear and wide
A friend will come and see me once in a while
Pulling out my leg that he belongs
While pulling out my arm to come along
Down from the mountain and through the town
Just looking for someplace that won′t drag me down
Where I'm thinking I will drink and Ill succumb
Walk on home to where the buses don′t run

Yeah, we're out where the buses don't run
Out here where the buses don′t run
In the wild frontier, no train stops here
Way out where the buses don′t run

And out the road, past Blackskull in the night
I fell in the Lagan one night I was full alright
We'd been in an Inn and one of us had won
What there was to win and someone pulled a gun
We took off running through the trees
Writhing under the lash of the leaves
But I′ll take in pain over vacant and numb

Out here where the buses don't run
Yeah, we′re out where the buses don't run
Out here where the buses don′t run
In the wild frontier, no train stops here
Way out where the buses don't run

Too many nights and parasites
I just sit out on my porch and watch the lights
I can't go there with my people anymore
At every shave and every haircut on the door
But come on over, three rats in my shack
A tree growing through the old car out the back
We got beer in a bottle, whiskey in a drum

Yeah, we′re out where the buses don′t run
Out here where the buses don't run
In the wild frontier, no train stops here
Way out where the buses don′t run

We're in the wild frontier, no train stops here
Way out where the buses don′t run
Way out where the buses don't run
