They say the worst of your feelings will all come in waves
And with no way to speed up the time you′re left drowning for days
Oh I know that's how the saying goes
But at the very least could somebody lend me a little lifeboat

I asked the question you replied with the answer I′d feared
And in one second flat well my certitude all disappeared
Oh in a daze I stumbled round black and blue
And I stayed in the fog cos the smell of it reminds me of you

And I have tried to be strong for my mother
Who's worried I'm looking too thin
I′ve tried to stop feeling like I am a stranger inside my own skin
I′ve tried to imagine
What might happen next time I agree to let somebody in
I wouldn't know where to begin


Sometimes I worry I′ll stay feeling this way for years
And when I go to that place well exhaustions the least of my fears
