Doesn’t Matter Anymore Songtext
I never figured out who put the tablets in my drink
The poison worked so fast, I poured the last drop down the sink
I never quite recovered, I′m always half asleep
With one eye always peering out from underneath the sheet
And no one knows I'm here, I covered up my tracks
You can′t sneak up behind me knowing I'm lying on my back
I guess it was an accident a couple years ago
I never can remember and no one seems to know
They found me in a cold dark room, lying on the floor
With paper on the windows and nails in the door
And now they tell me what to do, I never ask what for
Anything that mattered doesn't matter anymore
They found me in a cold dark room, with nails in the door
And now they tell me what to do, I never ask what for
Anything that mattered doesn′t matter anymore
