Arrows Songtext
von Rachael Dadd

Don′t we all need others to connect with?
Don't we all need others to protect?

Come, let′s sit on the hay
Oh, oh, fire at the close of day
Oh, oh, communal is our cooking place
Oh, oh, be at east, be at west when where we came

We are arrows
We are matter
We are sinews, electricity
We are born, we are arrows
We're pointing to those we want to love

Kettle sings and someone here will pour it
Every culture has its ceremonies
You choose your ceremonies to be inclusive
And I'm grateful that you feel the same with me

Come, let′s sit on the hay
Oh, oh, fire at the close of day
Oh, oh, communal is our cooking place
Oh, oh, be at east, be at west when where we came

We are arrows
We are matter
We are sinews, electricity
We are born, we are arrows
We′re pointing to those we want to love

Moving onwards, compass in your hand
Which bearing will it make?
The needle is swinging
Oh, and which bearing will you take?
And when you arrive at a settlement
Will it have a bearing on how you connect?
And are we just, each one of us, arrows
Pointing to those we want to love?

Let's sit on the hay
Oh, oh, fire at the close of day
Oh, oh, communal is our cooking place
Oh, oh, be at east, be at west when where we came

We are arrows
We are matter
We are sinews, electricity
We are arrows
We are matter
We are sinews, electricity
We are born, we are arrows
We′re pointing to those we want to love

We are arrows
We're pointing to those we want to love
