Why can′t you wake up? Wake up my friends!
We're swelling the tide, instead of sifting the sands
Digging in dirt, we should be panning for gold
Trying to recapture the dreams of old

Don′t look away, don't avert your eyes
When you see through it you will come alive

So grit your teeth, face it down
Take only what's yours, be it hammer or crown
But time is short so don′t be late
Dig in your heels, this storm will not abate

You have to earn it, you could never win such a prize
When you get to hold it you will come alive


We beg for the truth, but do we really seek it?
Wrapped up with a bow, would we recognise it?
So few are truly given a choice
Even less know their own true voice

So, seek out that which liberates you
Reject that which runs you through
Choose carefully that for which you strive
Whatever it is, it should make you come alive!

When you see through it, you will come alive
When you get to hold it, you will come alive
When you hear it, you will come alive
When your heart finds it, recognize it
And come alive
