seeping up through her toes
coloring all of the roses gray
she doesn′t care
she likes it in her hair
two parts of water
three parts of ocean sand
she mixes them with her ivory hand, saying
"let it rain on
let the world keep on drowning"

stain on her eyelids and lips
wending along her tipsy way
hitches her gown
but she just sinks down and down
battering raindrops
driving her into the ground
looks for her legs but they can't be found
harder she laughs
as the world keeps on drowning
