Till us as these decisions landed
Here by hand or insect wing
Each of these alone could spring a forest
And dense enough conceal the sun

They seed the air in battles reaching
Ever up to heavens stretch
Ever envy dance celestial
And re-exposed to every night

Variety a maze to fathom
Where each alone a looming mass
Intricate and all consuming
The ways of nature god and man


Seen at first in two dimensions
Here the choices stand surround
Drunk we′re drawn from one to one
To all at once again stretched shallow
And circled steps compress the ground

To this point that most my strains
Trod here with little aim
So spent life: to silence the heart of youth
A heavy toll for wandering truth
By way avoidant of passing pains

I know that this is where we make a choice
Everything to now in step with those whose absence seeds us, leads us
Leaves behind the looming catchers of morning who now stand exposed
And with them we wait
And with them we wait
