Chemicals
Sing inside the temple walls
Causing trouble, burning holes in my ageing clothes
Prisoners
Push the wounds, force fed the pills
Just to make them sit still for a while
Till they forget how to feel


Apathy
Veins pumping dopamine
Waterfalls of ecstasy
Until the lake dries up
Sad goodbyes
Carry bags under their eyes
Make you feel the dark science of your mind

Move the waves that drown my head
And push the tides from right to left
Cause you′re the moon that glows through the night
But I'm still afraid of the darker side
Will you be my light?

Kind of wish
I thought less and smiled more
That happy go lucky boy
Was never the part I could play
But while I sink
Further into life′s abyss
And push against the dark love
Of apathy's kiss
