We just look so laughable and tiny
Like we're spiders climbing
Underneath the cupboards
In between your clothes
The oven′s on
Kids are calling out to ask about your day at work
Your husband says, "Today, I sold my car for a space hopper!"
Sliced in half by automatic doors
My guts are spilling on the floor
My darling meet in parentheses
Can′t you tell that I am nothing more than
Commas hanging off your words
Buttons hanging off your shirt
I'm flying in reverse
I′m shimmering
I'm kites
I′m hummingbirds
