Magpie Songtext
von Peter Combe
Magpie Songtext
The magpie has such a melodious voice and
Sings a melodious song
Through summer and autumn, winter and springtime
Morning, then all the day long
Just singing her song
Beetles and earthworms she likes to eat
Spiders and frogs and snails
Picking the ground and strutting around
With their cheeky little willy-wag tails
The magpie has such a melodious voice and
Sings a melodious song
Through summer and autumn, winter and springtime
Morning, then all the day long
Just singing her song
Her plumage is black with splashes of white
Her eyes are gold and brown
She fluffs up her feathers, carols aloud
Protecting her piece of ground
The magpie has such a melodious voice and
Sings a melodious song
Through summer and autumn, winter and springtime
Morning, then all the day long
Just singing her song
September will come and she′ll build her nest
High in a tall gum tree
With sticks and with grass and bark
And we'll wonder how many chicks there will be
The magpie has such a melodious voice and
Sings a melodious song
Through summer and autumn, winter and springtime
Morning, then all the day long
Just singing her, singing her, singing her song
Sings a melodious song
Through summer and autumn, winter and springtime
Morning, then all the day long
Just singing her song
Beetles and earthworms she likes to eat
Spiders and frogs and snails
Picking the ground and strutting around
With their cheeky little willy-wag tails
The magpie has such a melodious voice and
Sings a melodious song
Through summer and autumn, winter and springtime
Morning, then all the day long
Just singing her song
Her plumage is black with splashes of white
Her eyes are gold and brown
She fluffs up her feathers, carols aloud
Protecting her piece of ground
The magpie has such a melodious voice and
Sings a melodious song
Through summer and autumn, winter and springtime
Morning, then all the day long
Just singing her song
September will come and she′ll build her nest
High in a tall gum tree
With sticks and with grass and bark
And we'll wonder how many chicks there will be
The magpie has such a melodious voice and
Sings a melodious song
Through summer and autumn, winter and springtime
Morning, then all the day long
Just singing her, singing her, singing her song
