Drag me down into the darkness, and swallow me whole
Visions of a world so rapturous, so bountiful
The regrets of a broken heart ring viciously unkempt in purgatory
When two hearts became one they would never be separate
But this world has come undone

As the rabbit is hunted by foxes
This love had a target in blood
Tears drowning ourselves in the city
And the foxes bathe in the flood

As we stand fragile and pending
The earth knocks us down to the floor
As we cry broken in dismay
We see that we′ve lost it all

Silence is a burden of ignorance, yet feels so sweet
Distance mocks our dying sustenance, soon to be obsolete
