Star Songtext
von Paul Norton

No one thought that he′d get too far
He lost his mother and he lost his pa
He stayed at home and played guitar
And he just got over it
He just needed a lucky break
A guarantee to make mistakes
But he had just what it takes
And he took it all the way

There's a girl who loves him well
But he puts that girl through hell
If you look at him then you couldn′t tell
That he loves her just the same

He's never gonna give up hope
She finds it hard to cope
When he wants to fly, you better hold the rope
'Cause he wants to be a star
He loved The Beatles and The Rolling Stones
All his friends were Dylan clones
But he found himself with no direction home
You know he takes things way too far

There′s a world that treats him well
But he puts that one through hell
If you look at him, you know he′s gonna sell
And he's gonna be a star

She knows she′s waited 'round too long, so long
There must be something going on, she′s gone, ayy

There was a girl who loved him well
But he put that girl through hell
If you look at him, you see an empty shell
'Cause he had to be a star
If you look at him, you know he′s gonna sell
And he's gonna be a star

Look at, look at him
Look at, look at him
Look at, look at him
Look at, look at him
