I was driving down near Oaksville with a toaster in my car
And I was trying to make breakfast but the engine wouldn′t start
Looking for some meaning with a toaster and a dream
And I know that once I find it I'm fuckin′ burning my degree

I don't know where I'm going
But I hope that once I get there I′ll know
I′m just looking for a mission
Or a mentor or a lover or a home
I keep walking down that road

It's only 7:30 and I′m eating toast again
It's not the life I thought I wanted when I started out back in 2010
Dusting off the pieces of some old forgotten life
I was afraid of discovering the beauty that′s waiting outside


I don't know where I′m going
But I hope that once I get there I'll know
I'm just looking for a mission
Or a mentor or a lover or a home
I keep walking down that road

And I wonder when you lie in bed and toss and turn at night
Do you think about what could have been in someone else′s life
And I wonder when you wake up every morning in the cold
Do you look around your kitchen, think about me wonder where I′m going
Cause I took your damn toaster
