Why is it when Italian people meet each other on the street they
Always say the same thing? One guy says to another, "You Italian?
" "Yeah, I′m Italian." "What part of Italy do you come from?" Now
What is the difference, what part of Italy you come from? The
Japanese don't say, "What part of Japan you come from?" The Jewish
People don′t say, "What part of Israel you come
From?" We gotta say, "What part of Italy do
You come from?" I'm gonna tell you a true story


The first girl I ever went out with was a Jewish girl. My mother
Always taught me respect. Bring the girl home. I brought the girl
Home. I says, "Mama, Tessie. She's not of the same
Faith, but I like her very much." My mother says, "
You respect her like she′s your sister." I says, "Mama
You got class." I give a big kiss, I got so nervous

I kept company with the girl four months, I broke off. Couple
Months go by, I went out with a Polish girl. I says, "Mama
This is Ann. She′s a Polish girl, she's not of the same faith
But I like her." My mother says, "You remember that first girl
I told you? You do the same thing. You respect her like she′
S your sister." I says, "Mama, I'm going crazy." I give a big hug

A year goes by, I finally go out with an Italian girl. I says
"My mother′s gonna kiss me and hug me and hold me. She'
S gonna be crazy, an Italian girl!" Bring the girl home
I says, "Mama, Patricia. She′s an Italian girl." "What part
Of Italy does your family come from?" She says, "We're Napoli
Don." "Well, we're Paris. Get outta here! We don′t get along!"
