In 2017, an elevator in a Zurich office building began playing unfamiliar music between floors 4 and 7. It wasn′t part of the installed system. There was no speaker
The track—looping and low-frequency—reportedly caused several users to exit on the wrong floor, prolonged silences between colleagues, and compulsive reorganization of office plants. When an audio technician was brought in, they found no source, only a sticky note in the control panel that read: "The frequency has shifted; what was is no longer, and what will be is uncertain." along with the letter P in what seems to be a drawing of a mango
Building management attempted to reset the system. This extended the loop slightly and introduced a subtle, rhythmic clicking—possibly mechanical, possibly not. Eventually, the elevator was decommissioned and replaced with a staircase
The staircase now resonates subtly in 5/4, unlocking a faint harmonic overtone centered around 432 Hz—noticeable only to those walking with consistent pacing and questionable intentions
No one witnessed Pango enter the building
