In 1994, a man in Zurich attempted to microwave a mango. Reports vary on why—some say for a snack, others believe it was part of a misunderstood art project. Regardless, the mango exploded. In its place stood Pango, blinking slowly, floating toward the fridge to hotwire it into producing a 4/4 rhythm using the dripping cooling liquid
No one claimed responsibility. The microwave was deemed "beyond repair," and Pango was left to his own devices—primarily, a modular synth, a cracked laptop, and a strong aversion to silence
Over the years, he began appearing at increasingly unlikely venues: a live set inside an active nuclear plant′s cooling tower, an impromptu ambient session during a city council meeting, a forest rave attended exclusively by lost hikers and a confused goat
Those who've heard his music describe it as "warm," "strangely specific," or "like remembering the plot of a dream that doesn′t quite check out." It's both moving and oddly efficient
Pango himself remains elusive. He's rumored to currently live inside a broom cupboard that echoes at perfect resonance, working on a track that can only be heard while travelling toward the speaker at high speeds
