Sunset Songtext
I wake up at sunset
Just wanting to go to bed
Life isn′t real
I don't wanna feel again
I′m growing out of my wardrobe
And moving out of Toronto
There's no place like home with loving family
To feel guilty for getting carried, spending money that isn't yours and feeling alone
Lie around another hour
Scrolling through others attempts to cut through this despair
Try to find the will to shower
But there′s no one left to impress, and there′s nothing for me out there
But lately I've been ruminating about the ways I gave up to save me
I shaved the baggage off the baby, to try again
But wake up at sunset
Just wanting to go to bed
Life isn′t real
I don't wanna feel again
My sweat covers the mattress
There′s dirty dishes and moldy bread
There's no place like home with all your homies
Wasting time and feeling lonely
But in reality I′m scared of coming home and giving up on hope of being on my own unless I'm living like a drone and staring blankly at my phone I'll never grow a single bone out here alone
Could it be I wasn′t worthy
Or did I just give up too early
Can I outgrow these bad habits
Bit the bullet to take one last hit
Do I dare open the casket
And put my eggs into one basket
The dream that wasn′t meant to be
Held on so long it became a part of me
I'm still winding down from running round the park don′t stop me let me fizzle out the sparks and drag the feeling out to long
As I hold the feeling in the way I hold my breath to try to to see the stars don't be alarmed when I
Wake up up at sunset
Just wanting to go to bed
Life isn′t real
I don't wanna feel again
I search deep within me
And find just what I need
To get back to normal but what is normal ′cause ever since I was a kid
I woke up at sunset
Not trying to go to bed
Life feels surreal
I can't wait to feel again
I'm growing out of my wardrobe
And getting into a new zone
There′s no place like home where I can be me and I′m the closest I've ever been to being happy and laughing at me for being a joke
Until the sun′s behind you
Until the sun's behind you
Goodbye
Goodbye
Just wanting to go to bed
Life isn′t real
I don't wanna feel again
I′m growing out of my wardrobe
And moving out of Toronto
There's no place like home with loving family
To feel guilty for getting carried, spending money that isn't yours and feeling alone
Lie around another hour
