History Songtext
von Opus

Who can change a coward to a hero?
Who can make a nobody a star?
Who can turn a genius into a zero?
Who can tell you anything, so far?
Who can justify a bloody devil?
Who can put him back to hell again?
Who′s deciding now, what is the level
For judging deeds that happened then?

Oh, yes, it's history, a land of fantasy
Where everybody knows what anybody shows on TV
History, without guarantee
If somebody new′s got another point of View
History, a big mystery
For those who wanna read between the lines
History, it's just his story
But who is he?

Who can wipe the black slate of a sinner
Who explains the motives of spy?
Who's a tool? A servant of the winner
Who can′t tell apart the truth from a dirty lie?
Who′s a bloody diary of mankind?
Who's an endless list of war and fight?
Who is often deaf and sometimes blind?
Who is hardly black and mostly white?

Oh, yes, it′s history, a land of fantasy
Where everybody knows what anybody shows on TV
History, without a guarantee
If somebody new's got another point of view
History, a big mystery
For those who wanna read between the lines
History, it′s just his story
But who is he?
Oh, who is he?

Oh, yes, it's history, a land of fantasy
Where everybody knows what anybody shows on TV
History, without a guarantee
If somebody new′s got another point of view
History, a big mystery
For those who wanna read between the lines
History, it's just his story

Ooh, but who is he?
History, history
But who is he?
