Cenotaph Songtext
von Ophidian Memory
Cenotaph Songtext
Lost, be blessed
These slain omens
Dead until coagulation
Runics of the Kerberos
Code carving final vows
Writing the glyphs of reprisal
A feat that no one dared try before
Draw closer
Your torment awaits
Believe in me
And this war we wage
To purchase only time
Forage the ancient halls
For tablets to inscribe
A cenotaph devised
It called upon my knife
To kill what′s wrong and right
A compromise the only solution
Dismal and obscene
Ritual decree
Aberrate into oscillation
Empyrean, a saintly array
I'll stay ′till the last ones death
And anyone who defies
The sight of the bright ablaze
Would very much please my eyes
Every scribe holds
The weight of the world
So let it be written
So let it be realized
All the innocence
Peeled from their grasp, retracted
The usury of a donation lamented
Desperation channeled through grief
Our curiosity, a disease spread wide
How will history look upon our sacrifice
There will be no judge, bar the ones who have walked through hell and lived
They're gone
But not for long
Revert to natural form
The origin of all
Amassed without a flaw
Our monument, defiantly shaped
Fashioned and cast
With eminence
When their names are carved in stone
These slain omens
Dead until coagulation
Runics of the Kerberos
Code carving final vows
Writing the glyphs of reprisal
A feat that no one dared try before
Draw closer
Your torment awaits
Believe in me
And this war we wage
To purchase only time
