The Tome Songtext
von Onirophagus

Staggering, landsick, I found it
The tome had been there all along
Simply, I had not dared to look at it

A myriad lies
Dispelled in a blink

Daggers driving in between the ribs
With each new revelation

Truths buried a thousand times
But the truth unveiled refuses to be contained
You can fool some idiots sometimes
In shadows cloaked, it whispered, restrained

Forbidden
By the light of the sun

The tome beckons, a morbid siren call
It′s pages, a symphony of the undone

Forbidden
Absolute desecration
Of mundane Eucharist
Each word unbearable heresy
A desolation of beliefs so long

Present
...

Truth, desiccated and sealed

Outlandish for both the day and the night
Veracity, mummified and cured
A vessel of the ancient and the divine
