City Orchards Songtext
von Old Gray

City Orchards Songtext

I inhale the same air in my lungs for the past seventeen years
I take his knife for a breath rest, but only a dime will allow
So you sit and count the drip time into thinking that it ever passed
So you pretend that each new memory is just a place to last
I pay attention to the whole finer details
The crooked and tired buildings that cast
Shadows over the level plains that I grow up in
The dim blue moon lighting the room like an infinite set of satellites
When it′s time to sleep, I lay back
And stare at my makeshift night sky
I always forget the stars
And each morning when I wake I always wake up alone
And so I raise my walls and start again
And each morning when I wake I always wake up alone
And so I raise my walls and start again
