Beijing Songtext
von Nine Stories

You′ve got to forgive me for giving you a hard time
Was not an easy flight for me
Thank you for your patience and understanding
All the way out to Beijing

We arrived in a city that was sleepy and quiet
I was missing my medicine

And the wheels wept slowly as we drew near to Beijing
Planes left traces in the sky against the wind
We didn't know what to expect

We grabbed the camera and walked down the Hutong
Learned a few words in Chinese
The pretty Lamas were praying in the temple
Women dancing did Tai Chi

The air was thick with smoke and neons
We smelled the saffron breeze

And the wheels wept slowly as we drew near to Beijing
Planes left traces in the sky against the wind
We didn′t know what to expect

And when I see you by my side
I just feel safer
Cause it's a sunny day
Yes, it's a sunny day
And when I see you by my side
I just feel warmer
Cause it′s a sunny day
Yes, it′s a sunny day
